Fashion and Faith
How to have a passion for fashion that complements your beliefs!
Fashion and faith aren't words that you typically hear together. Some people might even think they are in a similar vein to oil and water but I want to challenge this mindset. Some of the deepest questions of women’s hearts are about beauty: an innate desire to decorate ourselves and the struggle to feel beautiful. But these desires are often seen to be in conflict with our values and beliefs. In this workshop I’ll be examining how we can best explore our quest for beauty while still honouring our faith and personal values and being responsible consumers.
We'll dive into topics that many women grapple with: Does God approve of fashion? Can faith and fashion co-exist? Is fashion necessary? Should we be spending time and money on clothing when others out there are suffering? Can God love us through fashion? With an in depth look at what the bible has to say on the matter and on issues like healthy self-esteem, modesty, the benefits of budgeting and how fashion fits into the big picture, I aim to offer a practical insight guiding every woman to conquer her fashion guilt and achieve personal style with purpose.
